PERFORMANCES

dancentre aims to provide students with as many performance opportunities as possible, including concerts, community events, charity performances and choreographic festivals.

CONCERT

dancentre presents its annual Concert in December. This is an exciting time and all students are invited to perform. It is optional for students to dance in the Concert, however once committed regular attendance is expected. Please note the Dress Rehearsal is compulsory.

EXAMINATIONS

dancentre follows the Southern Federation of Dance (SFD) Exam syllabus in Classical Ballet, Jazz and Tap. Exams are held in Term 3 at our studios. The teachers will advise which students are ready to be assessed, however regular attendance and practice are essential. Exams are not compulsory.

COMPETITIONS

dancentre students can be coached for dance competitions in the styles of Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Demi-Character and Contemporary/Modern. It is possible to enter a solo, duo, trio or troupe. SFD has an annual Choreographic Competition that students are encouraged to enter. Speak to Janine about private coaching sessions.
